“ This restaurant was well-known for their fish head assam curry when they were operating from Wisma Kinta at Jalan Yang Kalsom. The taste is still as good as back then. They have been selling this popular dish for the last 46 years. If fish head is not your cup of tea, you can ask for fish tail. The lady boss is friendly and tends to customers at the tables. She recommends just the right amount of dishes for the number of people eating, so customers do not order too much that they can't finish. ”
“ This excellent recommendation by a Grab driver makes me bring my friends here again. With 4 pax we can eat more dishes. We had the Assam curry fish head (signature dish) salted fish bits with bean sprouts, soya sauce fried fresh sea prawns and sambal pedai prawns. Totally delicious ”
“ Ordered something new(sweet and sour chicken) besides the usual crowd favourite. Still as good as last time when it was at Jln Yang Kalsom especially the stink beans with prawn. Price is reasonable as the ingredients are fresh and good portion. ”
“ Up&up we thought that the Chinese name would be 天天向上 but it’s 楼上楼 The restaurant is not a famous one on the internet but it’s really good! We ordered 3 dishes all good. The Assam curry fish meat is spicy sand sour curry with lady fingers in it the sauce is good with rice or the snacks! Highly recommended! The Sambal prawns and sotong is special since the petai is from local so it’s a must try! The prawns and sotong can mixed. The vegetable is little bit sweet and watery not as good as the one we had in Penang. The lady who in charge of order is ready hospitable , kind and nice! I highly recommended this restaurant! ”

“ This restaurant is a restaurant that is popular with locals and well known for their assam fish curry. The service is good and friendly. We ordered assam fish curry, sambal prawns and sotong petai, claypot tofu, fried turnip with salad leaves and kangkong. The consensus is that the assam curry fish and the sambal sotong and prawn petai were really excellent and tasty. The price is also very reasonable. ”
“ This establishment apparently been around for almost 25 years. We decided to try their food. Ordered the Assam Petai with Prawns, Jiu Hu Char and Omelette with Chai Poh. Taste-wise it was ok, nothing outstanding but still a little better than some others. Portions were generous even though we asked for small size. Pricing was reasonable too. ”

The bean sprout dish is simple and goes very well with the fish head. Price is good for quality food & service. The Papadum crackers are freshly made - awesome ”
